• Before Union: Lillard transferred to Union from Parkland Community College where she played two seasons for the No. 12 ranked team in NJCAA Division II. She averaged 16 points and 12 rebounds per game, while shooting 50-percent from the field and 76-percent from the free throw line. During her sophomore seasons, Lillard posted 20 double-doubles on the year and recorded 17 or more rebounds in four games. She was named first team All-Region in 2007 and 2008, and was selected as NJCAA National Player of the Week three times in 2008. Also, in a game in January of 2008, Lillard posted 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists for a triple double. Lillard played her high school basketball at Danville (Ill.) High School.

• Ashley is one of the top three rebounders I have ever coached and she is tenacious around the basket. Ashley gives us immediate help this year. She makes us better in practice everyday. If our players can keep her off the glass, when we can keep anyone off the glass.

• Ashley comes to us from Parkland Community College in Illinois. She is an unbelieveable rebounder and fits her nickname “the Beast.” She is an athlete who defends, rebounds, and scores. We have not had someone like her before. I am excited about her immediate impact on our team in areas that we need to improve. She wanted to be at Union and will be a perfect fit.
