• Before Union: Ritter is a transfer from Jefferson Community College where she played two seasons of volleyball. Her Jefferson team finished as the No. 12 ranked team in the nation, while reaching as high No. 8 during the year. Ritter was named an Academic All-American at Jefferson and posted a two-year total of 580 digs. Ritter prepped at Scott City High School where she played volleyball and was also a member of the cheerleading squad. She helped lead her team to conference and district titles in 2005 and 2006, and a state tournament quarterfinal appearance in 2006. Ritter was a two-time all-conference, all-district, all-region, all-region tournament and Southeast Missourian Team. She was also named all-state and Gatorade Player of the Year. Ritter earned team awards including most kills, most assists, serving award, and twice voted team MVP. Ritter earned All-American honors as a cheerleader. Off the court, Ritter was the senior class treasure and a member of the Honor Society and Honor Roll, while also earning the U.S. Army Scholar Athlete Award. While at Jefferson, she was named on the Dean’s List all four semesters.
