He helped lead his team to the 2010 league title at Chemeketa while being named second team All-NWAAC. In his sophomore year at Chemeketa, Freeman scored 13.5 points and averaged 9.5 rebounds per game. Freeman prepped at Tualatin (Ore.) High School where he helped win back-to-back league titles in 2008 and 2009. Freeman was named second team all-league, McDonald's All-American Nominee and was named to the Oregon second team all-defense.
