Before Union: Bell prepped at Trinity Christian Academy where in addition to cross country, he ran track, played soccer and golf. Bell helped lead his cross country team to the state meet four times from 2008-2011 and his track team in 2011. Bell was also a member of the district and region champion soccer team in 2011. He was a cross country region runner up in 2009 and 2011, while also playing for the 2010 golf region championship team. Bell was named all-region (cross country), all-region (soccer), state participant (track), and all-region (golf) during his career. Bell medaled in 44 5K races during his high school career. Off the course, Bell is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, named to the Principal's List and graduation with distinction.
