2001 Bulldog Cross Country Coaching Staff

Head Coach Gary Johnson

Coach Gary Johnson will add yet another team to his coaching duties as he will lead the men's cross country team in their inaugural campaign. Along with men's cross country, Johnson will be coaching women's cross country and men's tennis.

Originally from Tulsa, Okla., Johnson graduated from Union University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. He completed his Master of Science degree at the University of Memphis in December of 1993. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Arts degree in Physical Education from Middle Tennessee State University. Johnson is married to the former Holly Tingor of Jackson. The two are active fitness runners and are members of Englewood Baptist Church.

Johnson will continue coaching both cross country teams and the men's tennis team. He was named Coach of the Year in the TranSouth, along with being awarded the NAIA Region XI Coach of the Year in Tennis.
