Adrian Yeung scored Union's only goal as Byran College defeats the
Bulldogs 2-1. Bryan College struck first when they scored
early in the game. Union then tied the score before the half
on Yeung's goal. Midway through the second half Bryan College
added what would be the final goal of the game. The Bulldogs
out shot Bryan College 14 to 5. Union's record falls to 13-4
on the season.

Union's Joesphet Phiri scored the only goal of the game Tuesday
night as the Bulldogs defeated Harding University. This goal
was Phiri's 19 on the season. Kelec Zhivkovic tallied his 9th
assist of the year. Union out shot Harding 15-4. Union
goalkeeper, Jeff Lean recorded 2 saves.

Freshman, Grant Taylor scored his first collegiate goal as the
Bulldogs won their final regular season game. Taylor's first
half goal was assisted by Joe Phiri. Phiri leads Union in
total points with 19 goals and 11 assists. This win puts the
Bulldogs in a tie for second with Birmingham Southern in the
TranSouth regular season final standings. Union will participate
in the TranSouth Tournament in Birmingham on Nov. 2-3.

Birmingham Southern scored two early goals in the second half to
take the 2-0 lead that would prove to be the final score. Sophomore goalkeeper, Jeff Lean tallied 13 saves for the
Bulldogs, but Birmingham Southern prevailed 2-0 in the TranSouth
Conference Tournament. BSC outshot Union 19-10 and recorded 6
saves against the Bulldogs. Union's record falls to 15-5 while Birmingham improves

Scoring goals for Union: Joe Phiri with 4, Kelec Zhivkovic with
2, Leandro Cardalho with 3, Ryan Smith with 1, Kolo Goshi with 1,
David DeLaughter with 1, and Nikola Barjaktarevic with 1. Joe
Phiri's four goals in one game set school record, thirteen goals in
a game is second most in school history.

East Texas scored a corner kick goal in extra time to defeat the
Bulldogs 2-1 in the first round of the NCCAA National
Tournament. The two-time defending champs from East Texas
tallied 13 shots on goal while also producing 13 saves. Union
had 14 shots on goal, with Adrian Yeung scoring the Bulldogs' only
goal. David DeLaughter had the assist. Union's sophomore
goalkeeper tallied 8 saves in the game. Union will now play
Trinity International College of Chicago, IL at 2:30 PM est on
11-18-00 -- Union University def. Trinity International College,
The Bulldogs defeated Trinity International College by the score
of 3-1. Scoring goals for Union were Daniel Banks, Joe Phiri,
and Nikola Barjaktarevic. Recording assists for the Bulldogs
were Scott Marksberry, Ryan Smith, Adrien Yeung, and Gordon
Wilson. Union will play again on Monday at 11:00 AM est vs.
Indiana Weslyn College.
