Mary has been a very good and durable pitcher for Union over the past three years. She was Union’s top pitcher in 2005 as she extended the string of five straight years with a Union All-American Pitcher. Mary is a very solid pitcher who can also play in the outfield.
Union Career. (2003)...went 21-5 with a 0.82 ERA; tallied 26 starts, 25 complete games, 179.2 innings, and 154 strikeouts; named All-Conference and All-Region. (2004)...went 19-10 with a 1.32 ERA; tallied 29 starts, 27 complete games, 196.0 innings, and 174 strikeouts; named All-Conference and All-Region. (2005)... went 26-10 with a 0.95 ERA; had 32 starts with 22 complete games with 232 strikeouts in 207.1 innings; was named TranSouth and Region Pitcher of the Year, All-Conference, All-Region, NAIA Scholar Athlete, and NAIA All-American.

Before Union: Mary played four years of softball for Herrin High School in Herrin, Ill. She set multiple school records, including: most strikeouts for a season(291), strikeout's for a career(749), shutouts in a season(34) and games pitched in a career(70). These accomplishments earned her First and Second-Team All-State honors during her career.
