Before Union: Browder prepped at Covington (Tenn.) High School where she played four seasons of softball. While at Covington, Browder earned numerous honors. Browder was a four-time all-district player, four-time all-tournament, two-time all-tournament MVP, three-time Best of the Preps, once named Best of Preps Player of the Year, twice named all-state, two-time best defense award winner and two-time slugger award winner. She also earned a Golden Glove award, Hustle Award, high school all-star game MVP, and led the team in batting average, steals, runs, and on-base percentage. Browder was also a member of summer league teams, the Spirits and West Tennessee Express that won titles. Off the field, Browder was a member of the National Honor Society.
