Before Union: Adams transferred to Union from Northwest Mississippi Community College where she played as a sophomore. As as a freshman, Adams played in 30 games for the University of Memphis, starting 18 times. She averaged three points and three rebounds per game. Adams prepped at Oxford (Miss.) High School where she was named the Oxford Eagle Player of the year twice. Adams averaged 19 points and nine rebounds per game as she helped lead her team to a 25-7 record and an appearance in the state playoffs.
