2010 Lady Bulldog Cross Country Player Profile

Before Union: Martin prepped at Montrose (Colo.) High School for her two years, after attending Russellville (Ala.) High School for her freshman and sophomore seasons. Martin ran cross country and track during her time at Montrose. She helped lead her cross country team to a sixth place finish in the Colorado state tournament in 2010. Her track teams posted an eighth place finish in 2010 and an 18th place finish in 2009 in the 4x800M relays. As an individual, Martin posted a 12th place finish in the state tournament 1-mile race. She was the Southwestern League Champion in the 1-mile and league runner-up in the 800M. She finished 27th in the state cross country meet. Martin was also successful in the classroom. She earned the Presidential Academic Excellence Award all four years, was the Christian Students United secretary for two years, and won the Montrose Spanish Award in 2010, the Career Intern Award in 2010 and the Drawing Award in 2009.
