Phylis is a senior for Union that is a very strong blocker and attacker. She was second on the team as a junior with 523 kills, third with 71 aces, and third with 76 blocks. She was named All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American as a junior.
Before Union Phylis was named an All-American, All-Region and All-Conference at the junior college level during her time at Lee College (Texas).
