Plenary Speaker:
Dr. Paul House
Associate Dean and Professor of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School in
Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. House was one of the translators of the Holman
Christian Standard Bible, the English Standard Version, and the New
Living Translation. He is the author of Old Testament Theology, and 1&2
Kings in the New American Commentary. Dr. House is currently writing on
the Minor Prophets for Crossway's 'Preaching the Word' Series. He is
also writing a commentary on the book of Isaiah for the Mentor Series
from Christian Focus Publications. He has pastored churches in Kentucky,
Indiana, and Missouri.
Special Guest:
Dr. Grant Osborne
(Ph.D., University of Aberdeen)
Professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in
Deerfield, Illinois.
Dr. Osborne was one of the translators of the New Living
Translation. He has pastored churches in Ohio and Illinois and is a
popular speaker at conferences in the US, as well as in Hong Kong and
Korea. Osborne's published works include The Resurrection Narratives
(Baker 1984) and The Hermeneutical Spiral: A Comprehensive Introduction
to Biblical Interpretation (InterVarsity 1991). Osborne is editor of the
IVP New Testament Commentary series and the Life Application Bible
Commentary (Baker Book House).

Dr. Ken Mathews
Professor of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School
Dr. Mathews will also join us to lead a breakout
session. Dr. Mathews was one of the translators of the Holman Christian
Standard Bible, the English Standard Version, and the New Living
Translation. He has written the much appreciated two volume commentary
on Genesis in the NAC series and will soon be publishing a commentary on
Leviticus. He co-authored Foundations for Biblical Interpretation
together with Union University president David S. Dockery and Robert B.
