When considering a 21st Century education, often in teacher preparation strategies and technology are the two ways of addressing the changes. In this presentation, Dr. Morgan presents typical 21st Century learners and their needs beyond traditional student needs. She proposes educators, though not digital natives, provide a heroic leadership for their students based in a humble self-awareness, ingenuous innovation and adaptivity, heroic inspiration, and relational love (Lowney, 2003) as described in Heroic Leadership.
