Marvin Uses MS: PowerPoint as a Teaching Tool

August 1, 2008 - Dr. Stephen R. Marvin presented at the Second Annual Educational Research Conference at Union University-Germantown. His session was entitled Utilizing PowerPoint in Non-Traditional Formats for Increased Student Literacy.

Abstract
Traditional and Non-Traditional uses of PowerPoint were discussed within this presentation. The presentation also provided examples of projects and assessments through which students use PowerPoint to develop literacy skils, including letter and word recognition, parts of speech, writing skills, and reading comprehension.
