Founding Vision

The Stephen Olford Center for Biblical Preaching was established to encourage, equip, and educate servants of the Lord Jesus Christ for faithful Biblical preaching, teaching, and ministry. The Center stands for the ministry of the inerrant Word of God in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Dr. Stephen Olford believed that "the expository preaching of God's infallible Word, in the power of the Holy Spirit, concerning Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, is the ultimate hope for humanity's deepest need, church-wide renewal, national righteousness, and social justice in the world."

The goal of the Center is to provide training and resources that will assist in the spiritual, personal, educational and practical development of faithful servants of God who are

• Empowered by the Holy Spirit
• Committed to Faithful Biblical Exposition
• Burdened to Impact People's Lives for Eternity

The Vision and passion of the Stephen Olford Center for Biblical Preaching is revival in the church and evangelism in the world. The Center pursues its mission with an awareness of the critical needs of our day. Biblical ignorance abounds. Spiritual shallowness is rampant. Theological weakness and error have to be addressed. There is much discouragement and frustration in the Body of Christ, and especially with pastors and leaders. There is the need for Biblically balanced preaching and teaching that are solidly evangelical in message and incarnational in manner. Godly servants of the Word are needed who minister with humility, integrity, and authority in the power of the Holy Spirit.

The ministries of the Center and the needs being addressed are international, interracial, and interdenominational. These ministries take place with a deep burden for maturity and unity in the Body of Christ.
