Union Students Participate in European Holocaust Travel Experience

May 9, 2008 - History major Cameron Armstrong presented a paper at the Fifth Annual Union University Scholarship Symposium on May 9, 2008. Cameron’s paper was entitled “Prayer, Partnership, and Persecution: Southern Baptist Missions Behind the Iron Curtain, 1950-60.” The communist countries of Yugoslavia, Hungary, and Romania in the 1950s were the focus of his attention. May 1, 2008 - The Department of History held its annual awards banquet on May 1, 2008. Twenty-nine people attended the dinner, which is sponsored by the Rutledge Honorary History Club. Dr. Terry Lindley, the club sponsor, presided at the banquet, and History Club President Mary Beth Johnson initiated Tim Call and Kate Cline into the organization.
