Phi Alpha Theta, History Department End Fall
Semester The Delta-Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society joined with the history department in sponsoring a formal French Christmas dinner on December 7, 2007, at the home of Dr. Stephen Carls. Twenty-six people attended the dinner, which included roast pork (rôti de porc provençal), seven cheeses, and four desserts. Dr. Alice-Catherine Carls prepared and served the meal according to French traditions. History major Joshua Abbotoy added a memorable touch to the evening by performing several Christmas carols and other musical pieces on his harp. The department gave special recognition to history major Christopher Turner, since he was scheduled to graduate with a B.A. from Union on December 14, 2007. The dinner was the last department-related extracurricular event of the fall semester.
