History Club Holds Fall Initiation
Oct 27, 2008 - The Rutledge Honorary History Club held its fall initiation ceremony and 2008-2009 organizational meeting on October 27, 2008. Club Faculty Sponsor Dr. Terry Lindley discussed the club’s upcoming fall semester pizza party and the spring semester department awards banquet that will feature a celebration of the club’s 80th anniversary (1929-2009). Dr. Stephen Carls invited members to participate, as a part of Union University’s Day of Remembrance, in the Phi Alpha Theta-sponsored community service project on November 5. Club President Kathleen Cooper led the initiation ceremony, and the following students were inducted: Michael Brown, David Conway, Caleb Dunlap, Shinae Giffin, Julianne Little, Katie Mohler, and Megan Winters. Also joining the club but not able to attend the meeting were Chad Keathley, Amanda Neibel, Caitlin Roach, and Buddy Seibert.
