History Students Receive Diplomas at Spring Graduation
May 23, 2009 - Eight history majors participated in Union’s commencement exercises on May 23, 2009. Seven of them received their bachelor’s degrees during the services and the eighth will graduate in July. History students receiving Bachelor of Arts degrees were Joshua Abbotoy, Hannah Holliday, Trista Rowland, and Daniel Spencer. Kathleen Cooper, Andrew Jackson, and Nathan Tilly earned Bachelor of Science degrees. Carl Harken, who will complete his Bachelor of Science degree requirements this summer, is an expected July graduate.
As members of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, history majors Joshua Abbotoy, Kathleen Cooper, Carl Harken, Hannah Holliday, Trista Rowland, and Nathan Tilly wore Phi Alpha Theta honor cords at the ceremony, as did history minors Sarah Conway, Joshua Hays, Chad Keathley.
