Phi Alpha Theta and History Department Mark End of School Year with Eighteenth Annual Cookout

May 14, 2010

Union’s Delta-Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta and the Department of History marked the end of the school year with the Eighteenth Annual Phi Alpha Theta Cookout at Dr. Carls’s home on May 14. The cookout’s menu consisted of grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, French-prepared West Tennessee BBQ, chips with home-made guacamole dip, tossed greens salad, home-made baked beans, French potato salad, and an array of desserts – most involving Tennessee-grown strawberries. Thirty-five people attended the event at which graduating history majors and graduating Phi Alpha Theta members were given special recognition.

Students who were honored during the evening included: Noah Arnold (history major and Phi Alpha Theta member); Lauren Bogdan (history minor and Phi Alpha Theta member); Caleb Dunlap (history minor and Phi Alpha Theta member); Kristen Fabrizio (history major); Charles Googe (history major and Phi Alpha Theta member); Shelby Johnson (history major and Phi Alpha Theta member); Micah Snow (history minor and Phi Alpha Theta member); and Cameron White (history major and Phi Alpha Theta member). The department also recognized Stephen Powell (history major), Donald Seibert (history major), and Emily Stephens (history minor and Phi Alpha Theta member), who were unable to attend.
