Phi Alpha Theta Celebrates 2010 Best Chapter Award with Pizza Party

Oct 22, 2010
Union’s Delta-Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society celebrated its 2010 Best Chapter Award with a homemade pizza party at the home of Dr. Stephen Carls on October 22. Twenty-four people attended the event; among them was last year’s Delta-Psi president, Noah Arnold, who drove up from the University of Mississippi, where he is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in history. The dinner menu included homemade pizza, a tossed salad, ratatouille, and homemade apple dumplings. Dr. Carls announced during a brief program that Union’s library had ordered eleven history books recommended for purchase by Delta-Psi members with the $250 Best Chapter Award prize money. The 2010 Best Chapter Award certificate was on prominent display for the event, as were decorations that celebrated the chapter’s success.
