History Honor Society Wins Third-Straight Phi Alpha Theta Award
Oct 14, 2005
Union’s Delta-Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta (History Honor Society,
Inc.) recently won its third-straight Best Chapter Award for Division I
schools, i.e., institutions with less than 3,000 students. In his letter
of congratulation, Dr. Graydon (Jack) Tunstall, Phi Alpha Theta’s
executive director, expressed appreciation for “the tremendous time and
effort required to maintain the high level of activity” that Union’s
chapter exhibited. He added that “the Delta-Psi chapter is an invaluable
asset to Phi Alpha Theta.” Heather Tobe, the Delta-Psi Chapter president
in 2004-2005, provided the leadership that brought the society its
latest success. The chapter celebrated its achievement with a pizza
party at Dr. Stephen Carls’s home on October 13.
