Phi Alpha Theta Celebrates Best Chapter Award With Pizza Party
Oct 13, 2007 - The Delta-Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society celebrated its fifth straight Best Chapter Award on October 12, 2007, with a homemade pizza party at the home of Dr. Stephen Carls. Twenty-five people attended the event, which included a display of the chapter’s Best Chapter Award certificate and a large photo of chapter members and department faculty at the Ames Plantation in Grand Junction, Tennessee, in November, 2006. Delta-Psi President Racheal Pressnell led a brief program in which she gave a certificate of membership to recently inducted member Mary Thompson. Chapter members also used the evening to select history books for the Union University library to purchase with the $250 prize money received from Phi Alpha Theta national headquarters as a part of the Best Chapter Award.
