It’s hard to believe it has been 50 years! Come join Union University’s class of 1961 to renew old acquaintances, bring back fond memories and rekindle friendships. Be sure to mark your calendar for all the reunion and homecoming events.

Please join us for this special occasion. The highly revered 50-Year Reunion Commemorative Medallion will be presented to each member of the Class of 1961 present. Other awards presented:

    The tour includes plenty of time for fellowship, reminiscing and strolling around the campus.
  • 6:00 p.m. Sports Hall of Fame Inductees’ Dinner
    Carl Grant Events Center. Cost is $15.00 per person. Special recognition for the Class of 1961 and Alumni Awards Recipients.

    The Conference will feature presentations by your fellow alumni. The program will include the recognition of another outstanding science alumnus with a reception to follow. Homecoming Reunion Brunch

    Alumni and friends can chat, mingle and enjoy a morning with Union faculty, staff, and administration. No charge for this special time. Make plans to come back, visit with friends from the past and tour the campus to see all the wonderful changes taking place.

Pre-Game Tailgate

    Meet your old friends for fun and entertainment for all ages! Campus and Greek organizations will sell food, snacks and concessions. Get a taste of West Tennessee’s best cookin’ including barbecue, ribs, chicken, burgers, sides and delicious desserts. Buy memorabilia at the LifeWay table. Kids can enjoy inflatables, pony rides, a petting zoo and train rides around the Great Lawn. Dress in Union red and white, bring your lawn chair, and get ready to cheer on the "Dawgs!"

    This year the academic departments are joining us on the Great Lawn to conduct special reunion events for majors and minors and their families.     • Department of Continuing Studies - The Department of Continuing Studies is nuts for our students and for Union University, so it’s not surprising that we are going nuts to celebrate Homecoming 2010! Fourth Annual Dodgeball Tournament Fundraiser

  • 6:00 p.m. Small Gym, Penick Academic Complex
    Knock out the other teams as well as hunger in Jackson! Form a dodgeball team or join one for only $5 per team member. All proceeds will benefit CANstruction, a national food drive for families in need. The money raised will purchase the cans used for building a Union can structure display at the Old Hickory Mall in Jackson. The cans will be donated to RIFA, a local food pantry. Dave Barnes in Concert

    Union University and the Student Activities Council welcome Dave Barnes in concert for Homecoming 2010. A favorite of Nashville’s singer/songwriter scene, Barnes recently released his fourth studio album, What We Want, What We Get, which features the hit single "God Gave Me You." UU tickets $3, General $10 Beginning October 12, tickets will be available on campus to Union students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as to the public online at www.uu.edu/events/homecomingconcert.

    During halftime, the Presidential Homecoming Cup will be awarded to the organization that has demonstrated outstanding service to the community. The winner receives the Presidential Homecoming Cup and $500, which is divided up between their organization and their charity of choice.
