Plan to join us for the 2003 season of lively conversation on current events. This year, Union Forum will feature John Leo, columnist and contributing editor at U.S. News & World Report, and Alan Page, Minnesota's first African-American Supreme Court Justice and Pro Football Hall of Famer.

Union Forum luncheons are held in the Coburn Dining Room of the Barefoot Student Union Building on the campus of Union University. The luncheons begin at 11:45 a.m. Each table provides seating for six persons.

This Season's Speakers

John Leo

John Leo is a columnist and contributing editor
at U.S. News & World Report.

Before joining U.S. News in September 1988, he
covered the social sciences and intellectual trends for
Time magazine and The New York Times. He also
reported on religion for the Times and wrote essays
and humor for Time.

Mr. Leo is a former associate editor of
Commonweal magazine, a former book editor
of the sociological magazine Society, and a former
deputy commissioner of New York City’s
Environmental Protection Administration.

Justice Alan C. Page
March 14, 2003

Alan C. Page is Minnesota’s first African-American Supreme Court Justice. Justice Page is a former professional football player. Elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1988, he is best known for his defensive efforts with the Minnesota Vikings in the 1970s.
