This position is responsible for building and maintaining Union University’s traditional undergraduate enrollment in accordance with the University’s mission and goals. Provides leadership and coordinates planning for assigned areas of responsibility, including Undergraduate Admissions, Student Financial Planning and Academic Support.
The Vice President for Enrollment Management reports to the President, serves as a member of the University Cabinet, and provides direct supervision to the Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Admissions; the Director of Student Financial Planning; and the Director of Academic Support. Through these direct reports the VPEM will lead a team of 22 professional and support staff.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited college or university with a graduate degree in a related field and at least seven years of enrollment management leadership experience, preferably at a Christian university. This position requires demonstrated ability to perform essential job functions, and strong leadership skills with demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication including public presentations.
Successful candidates must be professing Christians who are active members of a local church, enthusiastically support Union University’s Identity, Mission and Core Values, and articulate a Christian worldview in their work and life.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of: Best practices in undergraduate admissions process in the field of Christian higher education. Also, knowledge of U.S. Department of Education rules, regulations, and procedures regarding student financial assistance; knowledge of traditional reference materials and electronic resources; and familiarity with information literacy standards for higher education.
Skills in: Leadership and general oversight of a highly motivated team; excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; problem solving, conflict resolution, office organization and time management abilities; operation of numerous technological tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook, and searching central student database system (Datatel); and providing excellent customer service.
Ability to: Work creatively in a collaborative, collegial environment; have a strong commitment to user-focused services, and the flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities in a changing environment.
