Theme: Spiritual Women of Distinction

Scripture: The Virtuous Woman:  Proverbs 31:10-30 & Revelation 3:15-16.

Purpose:  This group was created as a means of support and empowerment for female students on Union University's campus.  This group will work to educate young ladies concerning their valued position in God's plan for the family and culture, thus empowering them for the present and future.  Students will participate in weekly Bible studies, fellowship, and monthly outings.

Mission:  Our mission is to mend broken hearts, eradicate generational curses, and establish foundations in the lives of dynamic young ladies for the purpose of building better lives, homes, churches, communities, and a better world.

9 Sisterhood Standards for a Virtuous Woman:

Valiant * Valued * Vigorous  * Volunteering * Veiled (dressed well, modestly but fashionably) * Vibrant * Visionary * Vocal * Vainless

Materials and Resources:  The Holy Bible, resource materials written from the perspectives of women of color, open minds, and humble spirits.

Semester Schedule: Each Monday, 7:00-9:00 pm

Spring 2008:  First Meeting, Monday, Jan. 28th

First Fall Meeting on September 18, 2007 in Hurt Complex, Blythe One; 8:00-9:30 pm (meal provided)
