JACKSON, Tenn. – April 26, 2006– Union University First Lady Lanese Dockery will host an etiquette luncheon for a group of Union students May 4 in the President’s Dining Room.
The luncheon’s goal is to provide students with a non-threatening but formal format for learning the essentials of etiquette. Union’s Career Services office is sponsoring the event.
“Employers are frequently inviting students to interview over a meal,” said Jacqueline Taylor, Union’s assistant dean of students and director of Career Services. “This is an event designed to ease any apprehension students might have about -- and prepare them for -- such situations.”
Sherry Tignor, director of Union’s Office of Academic Support, along with student ambassadors Tianikwa Haywood and Daniel Spencer, will also co-host the luncheon with Dockery.
The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. For more information, call (731) 661-5302.
