JACKSON, Tenn. – March 6, 2007– Union University’s Chi Omega sorority will host a five-kilometer race March 10 to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The race is open to both runners and walkers. Registration will begin in the foyer of Union’s Fred DeLay Gymnasium at 7:30 a.m., with the race beginning at 8 a.m. The entry fee is $15. Entry forms are available at various Jackson businesses and at most health and fitness clubs.
Those interested may also register by contacting Claire Yates at (731) 234-5383 or at claire_0387@yahoo.com.
All proceeds from the race will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Last year, Union’s Chi Omega chapter worked with the foundation to grant an 8-year-old boy’s wish to go to Dollywood with his family.
The sorority is also accepting donations, and checks should be made payable to Make-A-Wish.
