JACKSON, Tenn. – Nov. 19, 2007– Union University’s Choral Union, along with the Festival Singers and First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, will present Handel’s “The Messiah” Nov. 27.
Student soloists for the concert are: Kevin Isbell, junior, of Jackson, Tenn.; Andrew Smith, junior, of Hohenwald, Tenn.; Andrew Spena, sophomore, of Fayetteville, N.C.; David Hancock, senior, of Mountain Home, Mo.; Joy Jenkins, senior, of Milan, Tenn.; Victoria Green, senior, of Valrico, Fla.; Kelly Palmer, junior, of Dyersburg, Tenn.; Kate Rawls, senior, of Cordova, Tenn.; and Elizabeth Clark, senior, of Franklin, Tenn.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. It is free and open to the public. A carillon concert by Kathleen Huneycutt preceding performance of “The Messiah” will begin at 6:45 p.m.
