Union teaching seminar to focus on landing that first job

JACKSON, Tenn.Aug. 30, 2001 – Lynn Gnaegy, director of career services at Union University, will speak on “Securing a Teaching Job” at a student teacher seminar sponsored by the university’s Department of Education, Thursday, Sept. 6, at 3:30 p.m. in the Blasingame Academic Complex.

Gnaegy, who has a background in teaching, will give useful and practical tips for interviewing, creating resumes and completing employment applications.

Union University Announcement for March 6

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Friday, March 6, with all classes canceled.

The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.

Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.

Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lex will be closed. No breakfast will be served.
