Dockery, other theologians discuss Baptist identity on podcast

JACKSON, Tenn.July 7, 2009 – Union University President David S. Dockery and other Baptist historians discuss and debate the origins, actions and future of Baptists on the latest edition of the Koinonia Podcast, the official podcast of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.

The three-part podcast also features James Leo Garrett, author of “Baptist Theology: A Four Century Study”; Gregory Wills, professor of church history at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; and Nathan Finn, assistant professor of Baptist studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

“This is rich discussion encompassing many themes and issues for which all who listen will benefit,” podcast host Douglas Baker said. “These scholars make Baptist history accessible and present issues facing Southern Baptists in ways which provide a guide to understanding our past as well as charting our course for the future.”
