Joint faculty recital set to be held

JACKSON, Tenn.Oct. 8, 2001 – Union University professors of music David McClune and Terry McRoberts will perform a joint faculty recital Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hartley Recital Hall in Jennings Hall on the university’s campus.

The recital will be a combination of clarinet with piano and solo piano, and will feature music of American and French composers from the past century.

A sonata for clarinet and piano by Francis Poulenc and timepieces for clarinet and piano by Robert Muyczynski will be featured. McRoberts will perform L’isle joyeuse by Claude Debussy. McClune on bass clarinet, along with clarinet player Fran Goldman, will perform a concert piece by Felix Mendelssohn.
