JACKSON, Tenn. – Sept. 27, 2012 – Union University alumni and family members of Union University students will visit campus Sept. 28-30 for Family Weekend 2012.
“This weekend will provide all aspects of the Union University family the opportunity to come on campus and see the campus at its best,” said Josh Clarke, Union’s director of alumni relations. “I am excited about another opportunity for our alums to be involved with our current students to share their memories of their time at Union and see how they can continue to be involved with their alma mater.”
As part of Family Weekend, parents and siblings can attend classes with their Union students, attend optional workshops and visit their students’ rooms.
In addition, for the first time, Family Weekend will feature Union Night on the Great Lawn Sept. 29 from 6-8 p.m. The evening will include family activities, live music, food and Union merchandise for sale and a fireworks display.
The Red Bus Project, an initiative of the organization Show Hope, will also be on campus that night. The Red Bus Project is a double decker bus that serves as a mobile thrift store to raise money for orphan care.

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Friday, March 6, with all classes canceled.
The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.
Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.
Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lex will be closed. No breakfast will be served.
