
JACKSON, Tenn. – March 7, 2013– Larry Raid, who runs Linotype University in Denmark, Iowa, will be at Union University March 8 for a screening of the documentary “Linotype: The Film,” and will teach students to run the linotype machine at Green Frog village in Alamo March 9.
Raid appears in the documentary, which will be shown at 6:30 p.m. in room D-3 in the Penick Academic Complex, and will answer questions after the film. The screening is free and open to the public.
The Saturday workshop is open only to pre-registered students, and will run from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Students will have lunch on the grounds of Green Frog.
Union’s student chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts is sponsoring the events.
