Union Art Department to offer community art class

JACKSON, Tenn.April 12, 2002 – Union University’s Art Department will offer a community art class on painting with watercolors Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the Jackson campus.

Watercolor – Back to Basics is for the beginner as well as the more experienced painter and will be taught by Chris Nadaskay, art professor at Union. Emphasis will be on working with washes, modeling form, expressive brushwork, understanding color and value and the basic principles of drawing.

Tuition is $125 and includes paper which will be provided. All other materials will be student purchases. A brown bag lunch is from noon until 1 p.m.

Union University Announcement for March 6

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Friday, March 6, with all classes canceled.

The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.

Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.

Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lex will be closed. No breakfast will be served.
