JACKSON, Tenn. – May 6, 2003– David S. Dockery, president of Union University, will lead a citywide prayer service on May 7 at the First Baptist Church, Jackson. The service will start at 6 p.m.
Dockery will speak at the event and the First Baptist Church sanctuary choir will provide music for the service. A number of community leaders and elected officials have been invited to participate in the service.
"It is an opportunity for us to come together as a city across denominational, social, and racial lines to seek God's help, strength, and comfort in these challenging days," Dockery said.
