JACKSON, Tenn. – April 25, 2004– The Union University Art Gallery will host a series of art shows by graduating seniors April 25-May 20. The shows allow students to gain exhibition experience prior to earning their diplomas.
Lee Benson, associate professor of art, said, “It’s training to be a professional. It’s an opportunity to show work professionally and put it out there in galleries.”
A total of five shows will be presented. A reception will be held with each exhibit at which the artists will discuss their work and be available for inquiries about the purchase of their artwork.
Senior art show schedule:
All shows are free and open to the public Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and 1 p.m.-4 p.m. on weekends. For more information, contact the Union University art department at (731) 661-5075.
