Union University Art Gallery Displays Faculty Work

JACKSON, Tenn. – Nov. 4, 2004– Union University art department faculty members are displaying their work in the Union University Art Gallery until Nov. 23, 2004.

A multimedia show, it includes work from Angela Brown, assistant professor of art; Lee Benson, professor of art; Chris Nadaskay, professor of art and department chair; and Michael Mallard, professor of art and artist in residence. Some of the media included are graphic design, pastels, sculpture and drawing.

“We do the show to show students we indeed are working, practicing artists,” Nadaskay said. “We live by example in the department and I think it is very important for their artistic development, and intellectual development as well.”

The show is free and open to the public and gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday 1-4 p.m. For more information, contact the Union University art department at (731) 661-5075.
