JACKSON, Tenn. – Nov. 4, 2004 – Union University art department faculty members are displaying their work in the Union University Art Gallery until Nov. 23, 2004.
A multimedia show, it includes work from Angela Brown, assistant professor of art; Lee Benson, professor of art; Chris Nadaskay, professor of art and department chair; and Michael Mallard, professor of art and artist in residence. Some of the media included are graphic design, pastels, sculpture and drawing.
“We do the show to show students we indeed are working, practicing artists,” Nadaskay said. “We live by example in the department and I think it is very important for their artistic development, and intellectual development as well.”
The show is free and open to the public and gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday 1-4 p.m. For more information, contact the Union University art department at (731) 661-5075.
Due to inclement weather, the Jackson campus will be closed on Thursday, March 5, with all day classes canceled. A decision on evening classes will be made by noon on Thursday.
The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.
