Actress to present play on biblical women

JACKSON, Tenn.Feb. 7, 2005 – Actress Vondria Bergen will present the one-person play “Spread Your Garment Over Me: Voices of Biblical Women” Feb. 10-11 at 8 p.m. in Union University’s W.D. Powell Theatre.

The characters include the well known Eve and Mary, as well as some lesser known women like Dinah, the only daughter of Jacob; Deborah the judge; the witch of Endor; Peter’s wife; Samuel’s mother Hannah; and the bleeding woman who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment.

Performances are free and a love offering will be taken following the Friday show. Church and women’s ministry groups are welcome to attend.
