Carroll to give piano recital March 8

JACKSON, Tenn.Feb. 28, 2005 – Pianist Constance Carroll will present a guest piano recital Tuesday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Union University’s Hartley Recital Hall.

The program will feature the “Appassionata Sonata” by Beethoven and works by Scarlatti, Chopin, Scriabin and Liszt.

A retired faculty member from Louisiana State University, Carroll has been the featured artist for many state music teachers associations. She has also served on the juries of prestigious piano competitions and summer music camps.

In 2001 Carroll won an Excellence in Teaching Award from LSU and the Teacher of the Year Award from the Louisiana Music Teachers Association. In 2002 she was named a fellow of the Music Teachers National Association Foundation.
