Traveling art exhibit visiting Union gallery

JACKSON, Tenn.March 2, 2005 – The Union University Art Gallery is hosting a traveling exhibit of drawings and paintings, chosen by Christians in the Visual Arts, that specifically fit with a theme of artistic generosity.

Entitled “Bread Upon the Waters,” the exhibit features 40 pieces from 38 different artists.

CIVA was founded in 1979 as an organization to explore and nurture the relationship between the visual arts and the Christian faith. Artists from as far away as Virginia, California and Canada created the wide range of exhibit content.

The exhibit runs until March 30 and is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and from 1-4 p.m. on weekends. For more information call the art department at (731) 661-5075.
