JACKSON, Tenn. – Nov. 4, 2005– A collection of films focused on spiritual experiences will be showcased at Union University Nov. 7-8 as part of the Damah Film Festival.
Damah is a nonprofit organization that sponsors an annual international film competition in Los Angeles as a means of encouraging young filmmakers to express spiritual experiences through film. The films to be shown during the two-night festival at Union will be the finalists from the past two years of the international contest.
The film studies program at Union, the Carl F.H. Henry Center for Christian Leadership and the Digital Media Studies Society are sponsoring the event.
The festival will be held at 7 p.m. each night in Harvey Auditorium in the Student Union Building on Union’s campus. The presentation will last about two hours, with different films being shown each night.
The event is free and open to the public.
