Would You Want to
 Live Forever?

Scenario:  The Fountain of Youth has been found.  You must decide if you would like to drink from the spring and live forever, or pass up the opportunity for immortality.  Before you make your decision you must weigh your options carefully.


Grade Level:  6th Subject:  Language Arts Duration:  3 Weeks

Required Materials:  Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Completed Reading of Tuck Everlasting


Objectives:

TLW use higher order thinking and utilize decision making skills.
TLW collect and organize data to create graphic representation using Microsoft Excel .   
TLW research Internet and library material to design an effective advertising layout.
TLW present final decisions in presentation format to the class.

 

Tennessee Curriculum Standards:

6.2.11 Write in response to literature.
6.2.13 Locate and analyze information to prepare written works and presentations.
6.1.09 Refine study skills and develop methods of research to enhance learning.
