The Holocaust:
It Wasn't Just a Nazi Thing
While much of the world looks at the Holocaust as having been caused by the infamous Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party, history reveals that the rest of the world played a part in this genocide. Why did it take the United States take so long to react to the events in Germany? Why did a number of European countries voluntarily board their Jewish population onto trains to be sent to concentration and death camps? The answer may lie in one word: Anti-Semitism. Your job is to investigate historical documents and propaganda during time periods before the beginning of WWII in order to answer the questions, " How did Anti-Semitism originate, to what extent did it play in the level of Nazi "success", and what can humanity do to stop further genocides from occurring?
In order to complete the activities that follow, you will need to consult these scaffolding activities for Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
After consulting the scaffolding activities, it is now time to look at the historical documents that are found in the links below.
