  1. Define the terms checking, basic savings, CD, and money market accounts using the following two websites:

Use the site search feature on each to define the terms listed above.

  1. Log on to www.regions.com and www.bankofamerica.com.
  2. Locate basic checking, savings, CD, and money market accounts on each of the websites.  Locate the monthly fees, minimum balance requirements, free features, unique features, and special rates for each of the listed accounts.
  3. Create a table in Microsoft Word to compare and contrast the results you found in task #3. Your table should have 4 columns and 7 rows. Label your 4 columns: Checking Accounts, Savings Accounts, CDs, and Money Market Accounts. Each of your columns should include a section for Regions and a section for Bank of America.  Label your six rows: Definition, Monthly Fees, Minimum Balance, Free Features, Unique Features, and Special Rates.  Click on the button above to view an example of what your table should look like.
  4. Create a PowerPoint presentation to display your findings for a presentation to the class. Your Power Point presentation will have no more than eight slides.

     Slide 1 – Title of the presentation and your name

     Slide 2- Definitions

     Slide 3- Compare and Contrast for Checking accounts

     Slide 4- Compare and Contrast for Savings accounts

     Slide 5- Compare and Contrast for CD accounts

     Slide 6- Compare and Contrast for Money Market accounts

     Slide 7- Your choice of Questions, Comments, or Interesting Facts

     Slide 8- Works Cited (where you found your results)

  1. Your slides should be CONCLUSIONS of the information you included in your table. Your slides should NOT be a replica of your Microsoft Word table! Be creative and find new ways to present this information!
