Scaffolding Activity #1

Activity 1:  Creating a spreadsheet document in Excel

·        Position your cursor at A1 and click

·        Type in your name

·        Click on A2 and type in the kind of plant you would choose to be and explain why.

·        Click on A3, type the name of a tree. Repeat for A4 and A5.

·        Click on B3, type the name of a flower. Repeat for B4 and B5.

·        Click on C3, type the name of a vine. Repeat for C4 and C5.

·        Click on D3, type the name of a bush. Repeat for D4 and D5.

When you have completed the activity, click on

·        File

·        Save as

·        Save in: Desktop

·        Activity 1 file folder

Scaffolding Activity #3

Activity 3:  Creating a word document.

·        Click on Start

·        Click on All Programs

·        Click on Applications

·        Click on Microsoft Office

·        Click on Microsoft Word

·        Type your name

·        Begin typing your paragraph

·        When you have completed your paragraph,

1.     In the top toolbar click on Tools

2.     Spell Check

3.     Correct any spelling errors

·        Click on File

·        Save As

·        Save In   Desktop

·        Activity 3 file folder
