Introduction:  This learning web is an extension of a literature unit we will be studying in the library.  We will be reading various kinds of traditional literature and exploring each one.  We will be learning about fables, fairytales, and tall tales.  The student will then decide what kind of tale they have to tell and create an illustration to go with it.
Objectives: 

TLW recognize what a fable, fairytale, and tall tale are.

TLW examine websites containing various tales.

TLW develop their own fable, fairytale, or tall tale.

TLW create a PowerPoint presentation illustrating their original story.

 
Duration: 6 weeks

Task:  Previously, we have been working with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.  Each week  we will read a type of literature and discuss the concepts.  Then, the learners will work in pairs to explore each of the types of literature.  The groups will write their own story and illustrate with a PowerPoint presentation.  Finally, they will present their stories to the class.
