CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
When you have completed all the activities, click on the certificate and print it out. Ask the librarian to fill it out for you. Take this certificate to your teacher, and then you may take it home to show your family!
ASSESSMENT
All of the activities and scaffolding activities above will be assessed through observation by the teachers, aides, and peer mentors. The students will recall prior knowledge when completeing the scaffolding exercises, and through the use of technology are learning about new innovations and reinforcing their fluency at computer usage. This learning web will be completed during library class times, so the librarian will forward all assessment information to the classroom teachers. Because the focus students are first grade children, a satisfactory or non-satisfactory grade will be sent to the classroom teacher for completion of the activities as well as participation. When the students complete the activities, they will print out the award certificate as verification that they completed the web, and then they may take it home to share their success with thier families. Teachers may elect to assign number grades for the scaffolding activities (Microsoft Word and Excel).
All information used in the creation of this learning web are linked into this page. The clip art and music are included in the Microsoft Front Page, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word applications.
