CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION

The Undergraduate Research Team, along with the Academic Council, will use the following criteria as the basis for awarding Undergraduate Research Grants.

  1. Quality of research project proposed.  The Team looks for projects that have scholarly merit and that are likely to produce publications/ presentations in the near future.
     

  2. Evidence that the undergraduate student is meaningfully involved in a collaborative research project.
     

  3. Evidence that the faculty applicant is likely to complete the project successfully.
     

  4. Other factors being equal, faculty from departments not having established undergraduate research programs WILL be given preference.
